Henry Gorman
Director / Chief Pilot

Henry Gorman started taking aerial photographs in 1982, capturing spring-time shots of the family farm at Yerong Creek near Wagga Wagga in NSW. Henry decided it was more fun to fly aeroplanes than to shear sheep. Henry gained his Airline Transport Pilots Licence and has been involved in the aviation industry ever since. Henry has worked Australia-wide as a Commercial Pilot including positions as Station Pilot for the Sidney Kidman Cattle Company mustering cattle, prawn spotting, tuna surveying and charter operations in the Torres Straits. Henry has also owned and operated Sydney By Seaplane and flown seaplanes around the world including adventures at Trans Maldivian Air, Cairns Seaplanes and Destination Air in Thailand. Henry is also well known as an aerial safari pilot and continues to operate aircraft taking passengers to every corner of Australia.

Henry Gorman became highly experienced with the medium format Pentax 6×7 cameras while working as an aerial photographic pilot conducting surveys Australia-wide. He has a Degree from the University of NSW in Politics and Geography with further qualifications from the Australian Centre of Photography in Sydney.

Having clocked up 9500 hours and currently operates a Piper Archer VH-PZR taking photographs of Australia from the air. Henry remains airborne and passionate about photographing farms, towns, businesses and iconic sites.
